It takes a community.
Healthy Kids Thunder Bay is supported by committed community partners in the health, education, social services, public and private sector. These partners contribute their time, expertise, programming, staff and space to make healthy kids possible. By working together Healthy Kids is able to respond to community needs and support residents in priority neighbourhoods in Thunder Bay.
Key organizations that play an active role in coordinating Healthy Kids activities include: Our Kids Count, City of Thunder Bay, The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (DSSAB), Lakehead University – School of Kinesiology, and the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.
Healthy Kids is also supported and guided by a strong steering committee of community organizations.
Other organizations that contribute as needs arise (e.g. sports organizations, cultural programs etc). Healthy Kids wouldn’t be possible without the collaboration and commitment of all our community partners.
